Dr Shafqat Inam is a passionate haematologist and bone marrow transplant physician based at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Vanessa Wong currently holds the position of Medical Clinical Superintendent and concurrently practices as a Respiratory and Sleep Physician at Westmead Hospital in New South Wales. Dr David Ku
Dr David Ku is an Intensivist at Monash Health, VIC since 2011, and is responsible for Critical Care Junior Medical Staff recruitment and supervision since 2016. Each year, he reviews over 300 CVs and conduct over 100 interviews for residents and registrars across the critical care spectrum, and provides unique insights and mentorship to assist applicants to put their best selves forward for selection.
He also has an interest in peri-operative care, data driven quality improvement, innovative education and translating research into practice. He was the inaugural chair of the Victorian Intensive Care Education Network (VICEN), an executive for the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS), and has travelled internationally to learn modern strategies that enhance long term, functional outcomes for the critically ill. He continues to pursue learnings about incorporating AI in healthcare.
Outside of Monash Health, he currently serves as the Chair of International relations for the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS), the lead for Asia for the Global Intensive Care Initiative (GICI), and is a Visual Abstract editor for Critical Care Medicine (CCM) journal. He also chairs the Asia Pacific Critical Care Summit in Singapore annually, attended by 15 societal representatives of the region. He was recently elected as Council member of the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care (WFICC), representing the Asia Pacific region.

Dr Swaroop Valluri
Dr Hanumanth Swaroop Valluri is an internationally trained medical graduate from India, where he initially specialised in nuclear medicine. After relocating to Australia, he completed a fellowship in emergency medicine and currently serves as an emergency physician, co-director of the Emergency Department at Latrobe Regional Hospital, VIC, and head of the department’s mentorship program.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Valluri is pursuing a fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). He has practised extensively across Australia and continues to travel regularly to India to manage his clinic.
Beyond his clinical roles, Dr. Valluri is deeply passionate about innovation, entrepreneurship, talent development, and design thinking. He holds an MBA with a focus on strategy and sustainability and runs a management consultancy. He also serves on the advisory boards of several startups and is a certified coach.
Dr. Valluri has held various governance and leadership positions, including serving as a director on the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Board, a council member at ACRRM, and chair of the ACRRM Registrar Committee. He is an active mentor to junior doctors and frequently supports trainees with CV development and interview preparation.
