Interview Preparation

Structure:

5 minutes of Introduction

30 minutes of Interview practice, addressing commonly asked questions

15-20 minutes of feedback

5-10 minutes to answer further questions or practice.

 

The following areas will be addressed:

Personal Statement & CV: Tailor your CV to discuss key experiences and reflect on your achievements for interview discussions. Actively work on projecting a confident and self-assured demeanor, which can influence how others perceive you.

Communication Skills: Develop techniques for breaking bad news, teamwork, leadership, and patient-centered communication, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.

Behavioral Questions: Use formulated methods to answer questions on conflict resolution, time management, and working under pressure.

Clinical Knowledge & Case Discussions: Practice clinical scenarios to demonstrate diagnosis, management, and decision-making, incorporating evidence-based medicine.

Research the Role: Understand the job, institution values, and prepare thoughtful questions for the interview panel.

Stress Management: Learn techniques for managing nerves and time effectively during interviews.

Identify Weaknesses: Recognize and acknowledge your weaknesses in order to work on them for self-improvement and growth.

Final Prep: Review interview etiquette (dress code, behavior), and post-interview follow-up.

This program builds confidence, sharpens clinical and communication skills, and prepares candidates for the interview process.
